Tolu is the Founder and Chief Growth Officer of Cousant Connect, a specialized recruitment and outsourcing service that connects great ideas to highly vetted and trusted technology talent. Cousant Connect was borne out of a need to fix the huge technology talent gap in Africa.
Tolu has been able to quickly establish Cousant Connect as the primary outsourcing partner for some of the largest financial services companies in Nigeria including Guaranty Trust Bank, Access Bank, First Bank of Nigeria and AXA Mansard. Cousant Connect is also the publisher of the official bi-annual IT Jobs Report for Nigeria which has been featured on CNBC Africa.
Tolu is very passionate about the potential of the African talent market and the African story. He is always exploring ways to bring people, technology and partners together to create new value for the African Continent. This has also led him to launch the Cousant Academy whose purpose is to train entry level and mid level IT professionals on skills and technologies that are most in demand.
Before starting Cousant Connect, Tolu ran a successful financial technology company that worked on mission critical projects for clients like Stanbic IBTC, CSL Stockbrokers, United Capital and other blue-chip companies.
Tolu’s professional career spans over 20 years with previous experience working for multinational companies like Accenture and Lansdowne Partners in the UK. Tolu graduated with a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Computer Science from Imperial College London and is a certified PRINCE2 project manager. He has advised a number of early stage startups and sits on several boards including Fechrad Engineering and Arthrimed Specialist Hospitals.
Foluso Gbadamosi is the Executive Director, Human Resource, Admin & Information Technology at IGI Nigeria (Industrial & General Insurance). An IT and Operations professional with several years’ of experience in telecommunications, IT and the FMCG industries. She has worked for multinational companies such as Eli Lilly & Company and Procter & Gamble.
Foluso is passionate about Information Technology and philanthropy. In 2013, her passion for helping people led her to co-found a non-profit organization called Serving with Love where she currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees.
Foluso holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from George Washington University. She is an alumnus of the Yale CEO College, a WimBoard fellow and holds a Board Ready Certificate from IE Business School. She sits on several boards including Swift Networks. She is married with children.
Professor Olufemi Adelowo is a fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCP); West African College of Physicians (FWACP); Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh (FRCP Edin); Royal College of Physicians, London (FRCP); American College of Rheumatologist (FACR).
He was appointed Lecturer/Consultant Rheumatologist at University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin 1983- 1985. He was in private practice in Ogbomoso 1985 – 1992. He was thereafter appointed Senior Lecturer at the then Ogun State University College of Medicine and Teaching Hospital in 1993. He was promoted Professor of Medicine 2001. He was variously Head of Department of Medicine and Dean, Faculty of Clinical Sciences. He has also worked as Consultant Rheumatologist at Sultan Qaboos Hospital, Oman.
He became the first Professor of Rheumatology in Nigeria and West Africa in 2001. He is the current President, African League of Associations of Rheumatology (AFLAR) as well as the world body of Rheumatologist ILAR.
He was one of the 46 men and women that served on Federal Republic of Nigeria Constitution Review Committee and Constituent Assembly 1987 – 1989.
He is presently Professor of Medicine and Consultant Rheumatologist at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja. He is married with three grown up children.
Fope Adelowo is an investor at Helios Investment Partners, one of the largest Africa-focused private equity funds. She spends her time on a broad range of tech investments especially in fintech and retail. Fope believes that technology could truly transform economies and livelihoods in African countries and looks forward to the seeing the continent’s potential realized through innovative solutions that will leapfrog the pace of development in other parts of the world. Fope currently serves as a board observer for Interswitch, the largest payments business in Nigeria, and Mall for Africa an innovative e-commerce platform.
Prior to Helios, Fope worked with the Principal Investment Group of Cardinal Stone Partners Nigeria, where she was involved in the restructuring and integration of new acquisitions into the Group’s financial services division; at Cardinal Stone she also worked on a range of projects including a large scale agricultural development in the cassava value chain. Her previous experience includes strategy consulting at BCG, investment banking at Goldman Sachs and operations at Jumia Nigeria. Fope holds an MEng in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. She is also an Associate Fellow of the Nigerian Leadership Initiative.
